Train
We have a train track that runs right behind our house. We hear it go by at least 4 times a day (but I think it goes by more than that). About a mile from our house is another train track – we call it the “far train” (hey, it’s got to be simple when you’re explaining it to a 15 month old). If we hear the train whistle, we either distinguish whether or not it’s “our train” or the “far train.” If it’s our train, we gather Landon up in our arms and run outside so that we can watch it go by and we can whistle “whoo whoo” along with it. If it’s the “far train,” we’ll still go outside and whistle, but we always tell Landon that we won’t see the train.
I’ve been listening to Train’s Save Me, San Francisco in my car recently. Landon loves the music and grooves along with it. The other day I said to him “Landon, do you want to listen to Train or to the radio?” He looked up at me and said “Whoo whoo.” Now, I know that he heard the word Train and thought he was going to see the Train or hear the whistle, but he sure didn’t protest when I played the Train CD. Anyway, I thought it was a cute moment : )

We’re raising a music lover and that makes me happy.
Have a great day hon, love you!
